mainly clear with just 2/8 Sc and the 7th consecutive air frost with the low -2.6C at the moment with no wind;snow cover still greater than 3/4 ground cover, I'd guess about 3-4cm until I get out and measure it.

confirmed as 3cm with a pretty hard crust on the top

A mainly cloudy start to the night but with some short spells with broken cloud . The cloud dispersed by late evening and it was clear for several hours before further cloud moved in around dawn. Currently dry and cloudy.

A few clear spells developed overnight, but freezing fog then quickly developed. Low –4.0c with – 7.9c on the grass, so a widespread moderate to severe frost. At observation, freezing fog, frost and ice.

Today's readings for the 24 hrs up to 09:00 GMT:

Maximum temperature to 18:00 GMT yesterday: 5.1°C

Minimum temperature overnight: -4.0°C

24-hour maximum = 5.1°C

24-hour minimum: -4.0°C

Minimum temperature on grass: -7.9°C

Maximum wind gust: (last 24 hours) 11.9 mph NNW

Yesterday:

Thick advection fog developed overnight with a continued thaw of lying snow. There was also a spell of rain between 4 and 6am this morning. Low 1.2c. At observation, thick shallow fog, light rain / drizzle. Still 6cm of lying wet snow, 99%. The day stayed mainly overcast with fog at times and low cloud. There were some brighter spells when the temperature briefly climbed to 5.1c, so a continued thaw of lying snow.

It was very foggy first thing but thankfully not icy! The minimum temperature had been 1.7c and it has only risen to 3.3c so far. The fog lifted and I can see the drier, clearer continental air trying to return from the E/SE as the cloud in that direction is thinner.

A mostly cloudy day and the more usual thing we get from easterlies.

Max of 3.3c now 1.5c. Be very surprised to see these very low temps forecast happen here - too much low cloud.

Still plenty of snow/ice around making for slow journeys from work!

Hello to all :

been another cold day for my part.On to the 8th straight day not reaching 0c which is getting really good.

Top temp today for Orly airport -8.9c but got -10c for my part!!!

In the Paris greater area some vey impressive temps where snow is on grounds several -15c were recorded

Top temp of the day -2c!!!

now -5.5c already at 1900 hours and new thing wind is back nearing -15c windchill!!!

A mainly cloudy day although there were a few sunny intervals during the first part of the morning. After an initial rise in temperature the wind veered E by 1100 and thick fog developed, lasting until 1330. The temperature fell below freezing as the fog arrived and remained below for the rest of the day.
