Come on lets have a snow day for the whole of Norfolk rather than just the 31 schools that got off on Monday (of which mine wasn't one, grrr!! I work there btw not a student lol!)

looks like we might end up with this again then - pic taken yesterday from a long ladder :D

That picture really shows how central London loses its lying snow very quickly. Although places like Hyde Park etc should still be covered.

Looking good for the area on Thurs night into Friday. Best areas are the North and west of the region IE Northants and west Bucks. These spots could see 10CM. I expect most of the region to get 5cm from this though. GFS 06Z has the front slip SW which excluedes eastern areas of the region but UKMO and NAE shows snow for everyone. I expect the METO to update with warnings soon. They are leaving it late as trhe snow starts in less than 24hrs OOP north!

Dont write off our chances just yet. They still dont know the exact track of the snow at the minute. Even if we dont get a dumping, a nice covering would be fine, especially after last Sat.

I think this whole event will go down to now casting (radar). Changes can still happen even at very close range.

Anyone know what the snow risk is for Ipswich over night tomorrow??? After the weekend I was pretty much house bound (I have a little boy and getting anywhere with the buggy was a no go!) paths round this way are now getting manageable again (if I avoid the ice!), I really need to know what the chances are of the paths filling up again, so I can get food supply's etc in for me and little dude

For peace of mind i would go shopping no stress then. Just keep your eyes on the forcast and warnings.

I've told my kids they can have all next week off snow or no snow - but then it is going to be half term anyway !

Hope you're all excited at the possibility of some more snow - I must say it feels freezing here, much colder than the current temperature would suggest.....

Temperature 0.2 °C

Windchill 1 °C

Dew Point -3 °C

....and on my way home I drove through a couple of flurries of 'dandruff' snow :good:

EDIT: just noticed a few bits in the air here now
