In the last hour, the 2 PPN jumps on the MO site, show that the movement eastwards in the last half an hour was much slower than the half an hour previously. Stalling? God I hope it is.

PPN seems to be backbuilding along the Welsh coasts right now. That could prolong the snowy spell hopefully. :D

As I just said in my regional thread it looks as though the main event will hit Leicestershire/Northants over the next few hrs.

I'm glad I came home!!! :D

And I couldn't care less that the east are being impatient, we hardly ever get the best stuff.

Can't complain with 6-7cm of snow, but would've liked to see some big massive flakes rather than millions of tiny ones...

Look out your window in half hours time!

I'm only going on the forecast...don't want to jinx it but I am starting to wonder. Don't want to predict one way or another at the moment...just keep enjoying it for now.

You know me...cautiously optimistic until the last!

More reply options, then choose file (the photo you saved to your PC), then attach, then add to post.

D'oh! (Please read in Homer Simpson voice)

I'd been through all the options at the top of the reply box, never thought to click on that button..............

Many thanks!

Hi again people, I've just been out to collect my mate from Droitwitch, I've never known the roads so bad. I think all of the grit has been washed away and it's just a covering of snow and slush.

I would urge everyone to try and STAY OFF THE ROADS tonight!!!. I honestly don't know how ive got back, loads of people stranded trying to get up the hills.

About two to three inchs here and its still snowing heavly.

Temperature 0.4c (Slight melt going on)

My goodness if we make this without rain this will be one of the luckiest snow events we've had. The other regions would never forgive us!

Hi TonyH, does that mean we might see it become a little less marginal again later? It's getting a bit too close for comfort here, temp now +0.2, DP not far behind at -0.2
