9 out of 10 times you measured it would have been 0mm, but if you happened to stick your ruler in a settled snow flake earlier it might have been about 1mm!

Now 0mm everywhere with light snow/sleet turned to light rain, but I didn't expect to see anything at all.

2cm here south wales valleys, upper boat, pontypridd, A470. temp -1 degrees. right on border of the warm and cold front. expecting heavier now in next hours time.

EDIT getting heavier now in last hour sticking to roads and pavements.

about 4 maybe 5cm-its now compacting as the T and Td rise, but still snowing so that is over 6 hours here, not that often it snows for that long.

14-15cm at least in Garforth, 8 miles east of Leeds, as of the end of the snow about 9pm this evening. I realise some might be skeptical of that so I added a photo I put in the regional thread about 2 hours before it ended!

Freezing rain was all we had. North Wales and parts of the North West of England missed out big time today.
