what no chance for snow here or there

No chance of the motorways being closed.

And next to no chance of snow here either.

Backtrack, what direction is the wind in your area at the moment?

Quite variable which suggests it's on the turn. Veering South though now. Check this link:

We are, just not tomorrow.

That warm front was first programmed to stall over my head here in the East Mids..this time tomorrow that warm front will stall over the west of Ireland.

Oh, I thought you meant the southerly winds, I really wasn't being sarcastic there, sorry :o

Winds won't be veering east until tomorrow when they turn SE.

Cloudy skies, 2.2c atm. The warm front on the PPN radar looks rubbish and nothing like how the models predicted.

Wind now blowing from a SE'ly direction.

As i've said the winds are now coming from an E'ly or a SE'ly direction....and it's only saturday. the colder pool is coming in quicker.

The meto had me down for East Nor East for sunday.

Actually the wind is still variable over many areas, still N/NW'ly over the south east. http://www.xcweather.co.uk/

-2c - I think there's abit of anathrop showing on the meto radar, because it's clear skies and very frosty here. I'll take whatever comes over the next few days, with zero expectation. Ideally hoping for a North Easterly element to the much talked about 'beasterly' and maybe a North Westerly before they call last orders for this winter.

Difficult to call where the warm front will end up - currently most favoured place for snow is Wales and west midlands and perhaps west country - places with height only. Prime target area mid-east, se wales and malvern hills/shropshire area.

Slim chance of parts of cheshire perhaps seeing some brief light snowfall but this looks like the NE edge. Really need the wind to be southerly if the front is to have any chance of hitting the west coast of our region, a se wind is no good as it will force the front to pivot and align on a NW-SE trajectory.

The week a ahead does not look good if you want snow

yes it will be very cold by day and penatrating frost by night

but it looks like next weekend before the region will see any snow

I am not expecting anything to reach me today but keeping an eye on radar just in case.

Fed up with the model thread, it is trolled by idiots like west is best etc and Imbyism from the south east posters.

Radar looking not to bad, seems to be intensifying. Temp risen to 2c here so most likely rain unless the PPN is heavy. Dew point just under 1c.

Here, here! I have a feeling something may happen but not holding out! Will be doing the sane radar watching!

Something very fine coming out of the sky at the moment, mizzle, not a good thing as we are currently frozen solid so it will just add another layer of ice on everything, please turn to grauple at least!

Yes just looked out and it does seem a bit drizzly, certainly a poor day compared to yesterday.

Worryingly the temperature has just climbed above freezing on my side of the valley at least so as you said; with frozen ground it will become even more icy underfoot.

The radar is starting to show showers at least threatening to reach our area so we stand a chance of something, but whether that something is wet or white is anyones guess.

Looking at the radar, the main bulk of precip already looks like it's hit a brick wall, it probably won't get much further east!
