If this 'cold spell' is going to break down by the weekend then what a fat load of waste of space that was.. I think I'll turn my attention towards thunderstorms soon.

Sure has been cold during the day, but only because it's been cloudy.. the temperature here last night fell to a pathetic -0.1c, there's no way we can achieve cold temps overnight with all this cloud producing nothing but the odd snow flake..

A few flurries here as well... very very light stuff blowing in the odd gust of wind - nothing to get excited about atm.

Light snow here also, not sure what to make of this weeks prospects, the pressure looks relatively high for decent convection and i believe Wednesday onwards may be a case of radar watching. Anyone with more knowledge please feel free to tell me there will be convection to put my mind at ease lol.

Gfs 18z would bring fair few snow showers for yorkshire. Convection is always underestimated!
