Then it's showing Sunday afternoon as the beginning of the battle with the SE smack bang in the middle as it descends:

Then it starts filling for a couple of hours before backing off:

For weeks now I've been promising hubby a snowy birthday, it's D day (or rather B'day) on Sunday - I really, really, really hope those charts are accurate.

If we could bank those charts then we would be very happy campers! just nervous it will stall out further west still... ;)

When do we get our more regional threads back?

Guys, I really recommend the Netweather extra radar. Its darn cheap for a month and SOOOO worth it. Go on you know you wanna :good:

If there's one post I could recommend all winter, it's this one.

Met Office 3/5 dayer updated at 16.07 mentions rain for our area, may e snow on the moors!

BBC 3/5 dayer mentions snow for Cotswolds and Mendips, rain elsewhere! So you might get something out of that!

More model watching ne thinks, NAE will be useful for this potential event

It would be great if it became a more widespread event for west country as we all know here that an easterly can be damn hard to tap into any snow without a channel low because showers can't make it this far and we end up with cold frosty weather.

See what Ian F has to say on matter later. :drinks:

We need a SW England thread lol . I really think it is a case of keeping an eye on the model runs over the weekend , off to check the NAE now , that is usually the most accurate and by tomorrow morning we will have Monday morning in view so we will see.

I think the splitting of the regionals is imminent, probably coming tonight. But the ECM can't be a stunner as well...can it?

Yes you can see on the current NAE the front begins to turn to Snow very early during Sunday as it moves into Wales ... Current charts looking good and if it is Snow there is a chance we could end up with a good 20 hours or so of light Snow if it comes off as currently shown .. but we will have to see. There is still the chance it won't make it as far East as Bristol.

The 1800 charts have reduced the amount of snow.

More likely to be slush.

Flag for se here.

Ok so I (ramping type person) don't feel confident

But question myself that I should

Basically confused

Met office gives nothing by way of real hope in this region over next 7 days

But charts people post sit snow over me.

Someone please tell me how I should feel!!!

Tripidation/suspicion/optimism?

Hi Lauren , what 1800 charts hun , we have had the 12z GFS and UKMO and there all looking good , although you might be better in the SE and London thread for your area... I would say kent is in a prime position for convective Snow showers as next week goes on but we will see....

Again Sarah I swear your in the wrong thread , don't you want SE thread lol ... Again your very coastal in your area and you can expect showers to move in as the week goes on as IMO that Easterly flow is only going to get stronger ... x

Not yet it isn't. I asked the mods about this a few weeks back and was advised that in quieter times the threads are amalgamated to some extent. However, if the London & SE thread reappears soon, you could perhaps take that as an indication that things are about to get more lively!

Yup! Was like a spring day down on the canal at Hythe today! Was outside working in just a t-shirt in the bright sun! Beautiful! Not much sense of the cold to come!

Oops, didn't mean 1800!

There isn;t a SE thread yet.

BBC and Met aren't forecasting snow for my area and only the chart seems to be showing it, so I am little skeptical.
