I'm sitting at Yates Center,

I'm sitting on my sofa watching "Weather Weenies" and chuckling at the name! Posted Image

Always amusing listening to the audio on the feeds too, particularly the Weenies.

all the chasers see to have taken the weather predictions as read, only verne Karlson seens to be looking at the flow and build up.

I think the action is going to be slightly North of the original warnings.

edit, to add, look at vernes stream now

oh yes

I think storms will build further south in next hour or so from the current warned cells north of Wichita, the latest satellite seems promising with agitated cu field down towards SE Kansas and here we have higher CAPE too, just need to break the cap:

Was bit of a bustola crapola for SPC (again) - I gave up early on the virtual chase as the new storms forming were obviously struggling and the established storms morth of Witchita were drifting NE into less juicier air north of the warm sector.

5% tornado probs down Witchita Falls, TX way today - not sure if this will be worth the trip - but may turn out more productive than Friday!

Wind shear looks fairly decent, as does CAPE (approaching 3000 j/kg)

- but initiation will likely be along the cold front, so could easily turn messy, really to do need a discrete supercell early on to take advantage of the favorable shear and backed flow.

Today is a very tough Forecast Quentin.

Not my favourite type of Set-Up and have chased Countless of these Wind Driven Moderate Risk Events and strangely in Eastern Nebraska as well, Pot Luck on getting an Embedded Rain Wrapped Tornado I would have thought but the gusters and shelfs should be pretty

Liking SE South Dakota today for some Photogenic Tornadoes.

The only thing stopping this from being a Moderate Risk is the Upper Support is just too far North of the Action, Would still expect a few Eastwards Moving Supercells riding along the front from the Triple Point before the Cold Front catches up and sweeps everything South Eastwards into an MCS This Evening.

Whilst sat watching Diary of a Whimpy Kid, Kung Foo Panda and the last bit of BGT I decided to keep the laptop next to me and kept glancing at Vis Sat & IR - Didnt go anywhere near radar at all. I kind of enjoyed myself too.

Here are few shots from last night.

I think today we begin at Abilene and wait, there's a reported cold front likely to stall in the area, so opportunity is looking good. Already severe thunderstorms reported.

On my way to San Angelo & then a quick re-appraise to see if Sonoma is a good bet. Junction is looking a good call, as is the mexican border
