3/8 mostly shallow Sc but a few patches dense Ci from old shower clouds-some showers overnight and breezy for here with a max of 31mph, min temp was 4.9C its now 6.4C with a breeze from the WNW

The wind increased to gale force during yesterday evening with a gust of 64 mph at 2039, after midnight it slowly decreased although there were still gusts over 50 mph into the early hours. A few light showers during the evening but more frequent and heavier showers of rain and sleet arrived during the early hours, these turning to rain as the temperature rose slowly.

Currently cloudy with frequent short, moderate showers.

The temp' is 4.0c after a min' of 2.4c and a grass min' of 1.1c

Rainfall in 24 hrs ending 0900, 6.4 mm

Mean wind speed, 26 mph W

7 oktas Cu and Cb with St fractus

What a dreary day here. Overcast and blowing 50+mph gusts at times, we've had some 10mm of rain falling since midnight although I think the reading may be out on this due to the wind blowing whatever was out of the gauge. Peak Gust has been 61mph at 1.19pm so far.
