It's been a while since I've posted any pics on here, but having just been to Wales for the first time over the weekend, I thought I would share a few pics I took.

I loved Wales, I wish we were there longer, and I want to go back asap!

We made it up to about 800m but without walking poles and crampons it was too dangerous to go further. Windchill was forecast to be around -17C, and gale force wind gusts were forcing us to go to ground to avoid being blown over! There were also some heavy hail showers so it was pretty extreme up there, but fun!

Hope you like the pics.

Fantastic pics. Love the last shot with Tryfan, Llyn Ogwen and Carnedd Dafydd all on show. Been a while since I visited that part of the world myself, must have been quite a trek scrambling up to that height with only hiking boots for reassurance.

Wow some fantastic photos. Looks like many of those should feature in a calendar. What camera do you use?

Thanks for the comments, yes it was tricky just getting up there, but if we had poles we would probably have gone for the summit, but common sense told us to turn back!

Thanks, I use a Canon EOS 450D, but I've used HDR with most of these photos which involves taking three photos at different exposures, then using software like Photomatix to combine them into one photo. You need a tripod or something steady to balance the camera on, because all three photos need to be taken without any movement.

Super pictures :good:

Wales really does have some stunning locations, I have added a couple of pics from a trip to the Mawddach estuary this summer. The first is looking up the estuary towards Dolgellau and the second is looking over towards Cadair Idris.

Thanks for the comments, I only just noticed there was more.

Nice photos windswept, especially the 2nd one.

Thanks very much. My camera sucks. I'm gonna make a thread about it.

I will be buying one of them cameras! :o
