Im looking at all the live cams and that certainly looks like snow.. Very wide coverage and a Centimetre in depth in places by the looks of it. Never seen hail lying like this before and over such a wide area

Camera 1993 - S Avielochan A9 check that one

As Paul mentioned, it's the light reflecting off the grass and it makes it look like snow on the night vision lens. Still far too warm for snow!

Also worth pointing out that the Met Office Forecast for Glasgow for 9pm shows Hail Shower.. http://www.metoffice...st_weather.html

Thats the biggest and most intensive hail shower I've ever come accross then to cover most of Scotland. Oh wait, as ppl have said, its to warm for ppn to freeze... it must be Scottish fluff :p

It's not hail, it's the reflection of the light on the cameras.

Alternatively, just believe it's snow despite it being 10c, in fact sod it who needs real weather anyway - I'm off out for a spot of sunbathing. :bomb:

I agree with you Snowmad79 when i first looked at the camera's it did decieve me and i thought thats snow, but when the temps are in double digits for the majority and Paul explained it the was the light it made sense! Won't be long before we can see Snow on the cameras; here's hoping!

It's not snow - the "white" on the ground is the light from the webcams, it's on there all year round. The "snow" at Altnafeadh is quite likely just very heavy rain - if it was snowing at all these locations (the temperatures are far, far too high) we'd all know about it from members of Netweather who live in Highland Scotland.

I hate to be the bringer of bad news and to spoil the fun, but don't threat, there will be snow soon enough in the Highlands! :)
