Is anyone in the Maidstone area? I've had two people text me in the last 10 minutes from Maidstone telling me that it's snowing.

Now, 850hPa temperatures are around 7c so there's absolutely no way in hell that it's actually snowing, but something must be going on down there to give that impression.

A thoroughly miserable day with low cloud, mist and persistent drizzle this morning turning into fog since around midday.

8.3c at present, 96% humidity.

We seem to be having every other day dull/damp and the alternate days sunny this week (Sunday = sunny, Monday = dull/damp, yesterday = sunny, today = dull/damp) and lo and behold sunshine is expected tomorrow!

Still relatively mild here - currently 11.8C with little daily variation today. We are currently having some rain with a moderate bit just now. 1.8mm has fallen so far.

The monthly temp anomaly is currently over +4C here! and it looks mild for the foreseeable future. It will be interesting too see the MetO anomalies for the SW come the end of the month.

Currently:

Temp: 11.9C

Dew: 11.3C

Hum: 96%

Wind: 4mph 'gusting 11mph (E)

Pressure: 1012.2mb

Max temp: 11.9C at 04:29am and now.

Min temp: 10.7C at 00:00

That is an amazing anomaly when there hasn't been any record minima or maxima (although we did come close). +2.6c is the anomaly here.

After the coldest day-time maxima since early March, we are now at 6.8c, shame about the cloudier, milder night expected. Sunset and 4 oktas.

it's be mainly dull and chilly round these parts today with temperatures struggling to get above 6C quite a bit of the time.

Such a shame that days like these have been an extremely rare occurrence over last month or so, sure it's nothing special and if it were well into deep winter we'd tearing our hair out that things weren't getting any cooler but i'd certainly take it over the mild dross we've had lately and look set to continue getting for the foreseeable.

A surprisingly cold day today, temperatures hovering around 5.c for the most part, peaking at 6.c with it been just 4.c at 2pm.

If this is winter then I want summer back!
