2.5 here at the moment and still clear skies so I expect to get down a little lower than the -2.3 last night.

-2c sounds quite optimistic LL, but you never know.

Cooling slowly but still cooling nonetheless here about a mile from the river wear; 3.2c.

Was listening to Radio Lancs earlier and it was forecast to get down to -3c tonight in more rural areas so that's what I was going off :unknw:

Temp now down to 4.9c, dropping -3.5c an hour now.

Will take a lot to beat the experience the depths of early Jan 2010- never felt cold like that before. Nearby Nantwich was -15 and Woodford -18. The drains were steaming and it was hard to breathe the air was that cold. Now THAT'S a proper frost.

Its currently 7.0C and steady so not overly encouraging atm but still early. Last night hit a low of 0.8C with a good ground frost but it would be nice to finally record an air frost here this autumn.

2.6c and stable currently, which I guess is slightly disappointing after the rapid cool earlier, but still a good 13/14 hours of natural cooling with the odd upward spike should get my first ground frost of the autumn.

2.6C now air frost is 100% guaranteed. I actually think with a lack of wind tonight it could go down to maybe -3 or -4C here, that would be up there with the all time lowest temperatures for November. Definitely in the last two years here the extent of the frost is unparalleled.

Also freezing fog is possibility, again something we dont see here often.

It's actually quite bizarre because being on a hill we generally shouldn't see these falls especially with such a mild airmass. We don't usually either.

A hilltop that acts like a frost hollow is very unusual, but here it seems that's what happens, and being by the coast with this happening is astonishing.
