Current conditions: A cold start but not as cold as I was expecting with only -0.7C being reached at the lowest. There is some medium level cloud around and only some small areas of white frost are visible on some roofs. Current temperature at 7:55AM is 0.8C.

The first ground frost since very early May, little wind and 2/8 thin Ci, the low was 1.3C its now 2.8C

A moderate ground frost here too (we've already had a couple of slight frosts this week). Currently clear, 2.1 deg C after an overnight minimum of 1.0.

Clear spells overnight with a widespread ground frost, (first of the season here) grass low –4.0c, screen low 0.4c. Sunny so far this morning.

4 Oktas: Cirrostratus.

Temperature: 4.0°C

Humidity: 93.3%

Dew point 3.0C

Wind Direction: Force 2-3 W

Barometer: 1027mb rising.

Today's readings for the 24 hrs up to 0:800 GMT:

Maximum daytime temperature yesterday: 9.4°C

Minimum temperature overnight: 0.4°C

Yesterday:

A moderate westerly and variable cloud overnight kept the temperature from falling below 4.7c. The morning to observation has been bright and sunny, though cumulus clouds are building to the west and moving this way. The morning saw cloud building with light showers locally, though with continued sunnt spells. The afternoon was much the same with a few light showers scatted around. Top temperature 9.4c. Maximum wind gust 20 mph SSW.

First air frost of the season and the first since May 2nd, when, coincidentally, it also dropped to -2.0º. Currently -0.8º with the sun breaking through.

A cold night with a ground frost then a dry day with sunny spells, but remaining on the cold side for October. Currently partly cloudy, 9.9 deg C, wind light W. Today's maximum 10.6, last night's minimum 1.0.

A dry and mainly sunny morning but with increasing Cu by midday. The Cu flattened into a sheet of Stcu by 1300 g.m.t and this persisted for a couple of hours before dispersing to leave 5-6 oktas Cst, Ci and Acu.

After a mostly clear start it gradually clouded over through the day. It was generally sunny until mid-afternoon however. The min temp of 2.2C was the lowest of the Autumn so far. it was also a rather cool day with a max temp of 11.3C.

Currently 8.9C and 80% humidity.
