Disappointing, wind and cloud has kept it at 4.6c currently. Only chance of a ground frost is tomorrow morning/tonight - but with advancing warm uppers, it's very unlikely.

Down to 2.2c here. I think you'll definately see a GF and perhaps slight air frost.

I'd hope so, but the nmm keeps temps at 1c basically all night and from past experiences this year, when milder uppers arrive, the temperature usually follows. I may get a slight ground frost but I suspect it will have gone by dawn.

We are now at the minimum here in Picktree, fallen to 3.9c, with a dew point of 0.8c. This northerly flow is definitely the coolest we've had here in a while. With cooler uppers arriving, I wouldn't be shocked if it was 5c at about 10am.

Reminiscent of December surface highs, with low minima and average maxima - but today, it should be clear, breezy and quite cool for mid-October here on the NE coast, the NMM predicting a 9C high.

First frost of the season this morning, I was surprised in having to scrape the car. Will be even colder tonight with a ground frost i suspect. Shame it will be getting milder soon :-(

6.9C after a cold minimum of 6.2C. Been cloudy all night and whilst the South enjoys ANOTHER nice day, we're going to get battered by showers and avoid a frost tonight. :(

to build and tower in the last hour and heavy showers are approximately 25 miles away moving down from the NW.
