I will have 7.8c. A very mild start with only brief cooler/ more settled interludes.

A very average month with any cold reserved for the very end of the month, causing the CET to dip just below average, but not by much.

6.1C finish.

Going to revise my guess. Still an average month, but with some much warmer interludes, perhaps breaching 16-17C on some days. Any cold reserved for the VERY end of the month, if any at all!

7.4C.

7.9c is my guess, a dull boring mild month, maybe by the last week of the month things may get a bit more interesting if we are lucky.

A rather mild 8.3C

So all three Autumn months more than 1C above the 1981-2010 average.

October and November only need 20.4C between them to give the second warmest Autumn in the CET series. If October finishes on 12.5C then a 7.9C November would do it.

How ironic would that be.. because bar the week between late September/early October, it hasn't felt particularly warm.

The nights have been mostly mild though overall.

With the first week, possibly even the first half of November looking very mild indeed, I will go high:

8.9c please.

October with maxima around 14c usually feels cool that's why. Average maxima this month are 16- 17c widely, that's warm for the time of year. The beginning of October was exceptional, record- breaking warmth!

I believe any cold signal for later in the month will be overridden by the highly amplified jet stream driven by the La~Nina based atmospheric state. Therefore I'm going for a predominantly mild month with only transient cold spells...... My prediction: 7.9C°

Have faith ye people. 2005 and 2010 saw spectacular drops and i expect the same (though not the snowfest of last year).
