Stratus + boring = perfect match: 12c high, 10c currently.

Damn you low diurnal ranges, drizzle, persistant low-middle cloud. Terrible stuff - only weather I cannot fathom.

There is nothing wrong with the Italian dewpoints, fairly cool air that we experienced and moved over the Alps producing heavy rain and snow before moving south and descending and drying out. Then coupled with a warm sunny afternoon lowering the dewpoint further, not particularly unusual at all.

October is generally a dull month.. December can't arrive soon enough.

After a dry but generally cloudy day, we've had a wet evening with organised bands of, at times, heavy rain filtering down through the Cheshire Gap, and still quite a bit to come, judging by the radar
