8/8 St with mist at the moment that should burn off later. Temp currently 14C with a breezy southerly. Looking at the Nottingham 00z ascent possibly slightly warmer in some areas than yesterday although I suspect not down here.

The band of rain out west is marching east, looks like that will ruin the day here later.

Sunny hazy start in Cleadon, mostly clear blue skies with a little bit of high cloud, currently 14.8C after a minimum of 13.2C, but in the last two days the temperature really shot up between 10-12 in the morning, so I think there is a decent chance of getting another shot at a 25C (we just nudged it here yesterday, 25.0 max exactly). There was quite a red sunrise due to the haze and high cloud.

I was out in the garden last night pointing my world-class 10 incher skywards sitting in nothing more than shorts and a t-shirt. I've never known a clear night be so warm.

A minimum overnight of 11.1º and currently 18.1º and sunny!

Too depressing to even commentate on today's weather

Beautiful day here in Cumbria with a few well scattered high clouds, 23c.

The rain over Ireland is very slow with it's progress eastwards - thank god!!

Too depressing to even commentate on today's weather

Why so?

Dreadful, just dreadful. This sort of weather is bad enough in July and August, never mind the last day of September. No idea what the temp is outside, except that it's way too high. All my curtains are closed firmly and I refuse to poke my nose out the door lest I become a slobbering wreck and suffer frazzled retinas right there on the doorstep. I just hope that winter and a goodly proportion of autumn makes up amply for the hideousness I'm having to endure now. What's also getting right up my shonk and adding to my misery,is the smiling buffoons on TV masquerading as weather forecasters telling me how "glorious" it is etc.
