Wet and windy dawn here feeling more like late autumn than early September, although it is mild at 15.2c.

Blimey - it's not even 7am and already 29.2mm of rain has fallen since midnight.

Still raining, highest gust so far today 41mph and currently 13.9º

By the end of this week you could be well over 100mm for the month so far.

Not as wet this side of the Pennines as would expect, 16.2mm here. Further East it declines further 7mm at Copley just 5mm at Newton Ayecliffe.

Wind not bad here as we are sheltered from SW due ridge and tree plantation, wind should pick up as it goes round more to WNW later today.
