The earlier cloud cleared to a fantastic blue and clear sky:

I think we've had record crowds this year, partly due to the weather!

Great photo's there Coast.smile.png

One day I hope to go to the fairford air show. I've seen the Red Arrows perform many times in Plymouth my home town. The RAF jets around here used to fly overhead quite regularly, but for some reason I hardly see them anymore!

Thanks for the photo's Coast. I wasn't able to make Eastbourne Airborne this year, but have enjoyed it immensely in the past. Glad the weather held out.

Excellent photos Coast. it was lovely deep blue sky after that dark sky over east moved off but that strong gusty wind was the only thing! yes i was there and it was great! the red arrows were amazing to start, those air cracking jets where incredibly loud. the weather was amazing to.cool.png so all a great day that i really enjoyed, came down by car from Surrey so a long ride but for a show like that its worth it!

I remember when airshows had lots of variety, now we are limited to a few types of aircraft, although its amazing that so many people still turn out to watch these machines of mass murder and destruction lol.

I got a new found admiration for airshow photography after giving it a go at Chatsworth today. You managed to get the exposure just right on Hunter and the Spit's & Tornado's are excellent too. Crowd looks pretty packed so off to youtube I go to see some sounds of the show.

300mm telephoto lens, but they move so darn fast you have to catch them about right!!!
