Well, it is the forecast discussion thread, isn't it!

Anyway, here http://www.exactaweather.com/UK_Long_Range_Forecast.html is an interesting forecast for Winter 2011/2012. I am inclined to agree with it, with regard to it's likely severity. I think it was about 5 years ago that I put my head above the parapet (and got a lot of flak) re a change being afoot for our weather (particularly in that our Winters would get quite a bit colder) and so far that seems to be happening.

Of course, the coldness may not continue and we may suddenly get all tropical, in which case I will have to eat an entire humble pie, but recent years do seem to have cooled down quite a bit.

Does anyone have any polite ( B) ) thoughts about the forecast?

Apologies if anyone is offended or distressed by the mention of Winter. :)
