A few squall lines developing now, one from the Norfolk coast down through the London area towards the IOW and the other from the

East Devon coast up through Dorset/Somerset into Wiltshire.

You have to zoom in on the NW Radar to see the brief intensity of the rain, but driving through it was not pleasant.

Yep, just cleared through here, monstrous amount of rain in a very short space of time!

Just been watching a long squall line gradually getting closer over Norwich airport and part of it has past over us in Old Catton. Not much rain tbh at this part of the squall but a fairly strong gust of wind with it at the time of it passing over. It has definitely stopped any sun from coming through unlike earlier.

Interesting cloud formations near to Shotton, like an undulated pattern in places. Had a moderate shower.

Some bright echoes and sferics from Cb clouds to the west of Cleadon at the moment, perhaps it could get interesting in about an hour's time.

Yep, the rain has stopped and even the wind has died down to a breeze. Nothing so far in this part of the World.

Thunderstorm in Edinburgh (again) flatshaking loud thunder. Its been a long time since I've heard thunder that cracks and not rumbling for ages.

I can't see fek all I live in a basement, though I did get woken up by it. I was napping like a good student then all of a sudden massive crack of thunder. I literally threw my self out of bed and missed the wall. Tried to look out the back door but the lighting seems to be in the other direction.

Well all I've got down here on the south coast is that wonderfully peculiar phenomenon whereby the sky to the north (out my front window) is a very dark grey/black but the the sky to the south (rear window) is blue with sunshine! Ahhhhh, gotta love weather!!
