Temperature fell to 18.3C earlier, but now the sun has managed to burn some of the cloud off, the temperature has rocketed up to 21.0C!

My station in my signature is now online again for you to look at.

Please pay no attention to any of the past figures as I have recently reset it.

The current readings are accurate though. :)

Not sure what the max temp has been here - suspect about 25 degrees, it felt very oppressive late morning/lunchtime just before the cold front arrived. Much fresher conditions now, but still a slight muggy feel. Once again we have seen little sunshine.

The current weather reminds me of those odd rare spells in otherwise mild winters when we see a straight potent direct northerly - equally they arrive and dissapear in a flash.

Major temp contrasts today, Aberdeen 13 degrees and East Kent 33 degrees - rare to see such a difference.

An oppressive, sticky day with sunny intervals. During the sunny intervals it felt very hot in the sun, but the maximum temperature was pegged back due to the overcast spells. We still managed 27.8ºC today though, and could have maybe reached 30 if the sun stayed out all day.

Presently it is overcast with a few light spots of drizzle, and the temperature has fallen through the floor at 19.5ºC.

Hot sunny start with a dull very humid afternoon. It cleared about 5pm and is now a lovely warm evening.

Max 31c, the cloud keeping it from getting any higher. Now a lovely 25.2c.

I for one will really miss having all the windows open although our budgies will not - they are relegated to the cage during hot weather periods more often than not!

Rain on and off from 3-5pm, then the sun tried to break through for an hour, just had more rain and it went very dark; where's the thunder?

Maxed at 26.5 which is respectable, but hardly exceptional. "Three fine days and a thunderstorm" seems to have become "one and a half fine days and rain".

A gloriously hot and sunny day yesterday with a top temp of 26.9c, which is no mean feat for this part of the country. Today was slightly cooler here at 26.6c but as i spent the day in Lincolnshire i felt the full force of the heat. Places like lincoln and Humberside Airport maxed out at 32c making it the hottest day since 6th August 2003. Currently back in east yorkshire its a warm 21.2c with mostly cloudy skies and only a brief spell of light rain so far.

Max temp of 29.5c, would of breached 30.c hadn't it gotten cloudy from 2pm leveling temperatures off just above 29.c

Rapidly cooled down down now, currently 15.3c compared to this time yesterday when we were in the low twenties.

Such a promising start today with warm to hot sunshine throughout the morning. It clouded over rapidly after midday with very threatening skies at times, even with the odd spot of rain before clearing slightly by the evening. The main feature today has been the high humidity and today will be notable for it's very representation of a plume!

Slightly late posting this but here goes:

After a muggy warm night with a low of 15.8c the morning was glorious with warm to hot sunshine and a light breeze, however haze was moving in by 11am and it was cloudy from Midday - 4:30pm with a few light showers, after 4:30 there was some sunshine again until just after 6pm when skies gradually darkened to bring a torrential downpour that grew into a weak thunderstorm just before 8pm and one flash of lightning though there may of been more, was hard to see through the mist.

Freshened up drastically after that and is now a cool 12.7c.

High was 26c around 12:30pm though would of easily of hit 28c had it not been for cloud scuppering the afternoon.
