dry, was sunny but 3/8 Cu devleoped in the last 30 minutes, small patches Sc above that with a breeze from the NW; min was 9.7C its now 13.4C

A dry and sunny start for a change after some quite intense downpours during the early hours dumping 8mm in the guage. 12.5C and calm outside.

It was a real Bristol Channel streamer that got going in those early hours, the showers died out approx 30 miles inland though leaving here with

a few light showers and sunny spells among a lot of Altocumulus, Cumulus and TCu.

There has been a recent shower with the temp dropping to 14.4c from 16.5c which w=is the max so far. Much less wind today too.

i'm confused here now,very little change in predicted temps from the original posting.

why is netweather sticking with 0c min yet the Meto are going with 6c for my location? surely the meto are the first to receive all relevant data for the said timeframe.

0c upto 6c is a massive difference for growers.

Had clear skies most of the day, some cloud around now though. Temps reached around 18.4C today, currently a cooler 11.7C and falling.

Not a bad day in the main. Remained dry throughout with bright skies though never any real decent spells of sunshine conversely another cool day with temps of 14 degrees.

Will be a cool night but I suspect not as cool as places to the east of Pennines where skies will be much clearer.

We have some very chilly upper air for the time of year, similiar synoptics in mid winter would be bringing very cold polar air with temps struggling to get above freezing and some very cold nights over the 'snowfields' - alas it is June.. synoptics wasted at this time of year.
