After a generally cloudy morning its been GLORIOUS most of this afternoon with long spells of sunshine for the first time since 4th May, very cold when the sun goes in but finally some respectable amounts of sunshine, so happy.

Lovely sunny if breezy day max 16c. I would assume even Salop has been sunny this afternoon.

Yes, amazingly much of the cloud started to clear from about 11 onwards, it's been a mostly sunny afternoon with 3-4 oktas Cu. Warmish, but still can't shift that nagging wind.

Now half an hour before sunset it's crystal clear again.........

In a word today has felt 'brrr'.. a chilly northwesterly wind despite sunny spells - a classic polar maritime airstream which produced two significant squally showers mid afternoon depositing heavy hail and very strong winds with low temps.

This evening has been very nice. A chilly night ahead on the cards. I do like this sort of weather but I have to say not necessarily in late May - its weather we should have been having during April. I will say it again in the NW April and May this year have swapped places.

Clear skies and chilly after the first day of decent amounts of sunshine (despite almost slate greying between 9-10:30am) between the hours of 9 and 5pm since 4th May, decent day overall but on the cool side for the time of year with a high of 15c and a rather breezy day to but the wind eased off significantly towards the evening.
