And that ignorant, offensive, rant sums up exactly why the YES campaign failed

Good god. What a load of boarish spiteful bile from bad losers has been posted during the night. I actually dread to think how Scotland would be run if this is representative of how the yes vote behav

I'm disappointed in the lack of grace shown by some across the net in accepting this No vote. A complete lack of any empathy and understanding as to why fellow Scots didn't vote Yes.   I personally

Hardly surprising here in East Lothian, close to the border and labour heartland

I really hope people take whatever result that comes as fair and square and accepts it. Would hate to see toys thrown out of the pram style reactions. It still remains close.

I just hope those who voted yes said yes for a change in politics and not out spiteful or unfair hatred towards the English which I feel is the motive for a few though hopefully not a majority.

However this should be a once in a generation vote. How often is this vote going to occur until the yes vote get their way otherwise? Is there a limit on how frequent it should be? Otherwise I can just imagine chaos!

    53 -47 now nationally.

To make my guess of 58 - 42 stack up still some considerable No margins to report.

Fife and West Lothian around 55:45

    Edinburgh 60:40

Similarly high figures for Borders. May look closer than this depending on how much Glasgow / H&I eat into No lead, but will be the odd Yes interspersed with No.

    Enjoy the night !

To make things worse, I think Thor has voted no as well. Given the thunderstorms rumbling along in the south east at the moment

Glasgow result possible in 10mins, it needs to be a massive win for yes or it could be game over.

On another note, I hope the key ones come in soon, been up 24hrs now!

    YES Scotland â€@Independent_SCO 1m

NOT CONFIRMED REPORT - BUT: Dundee voting huge majority Yes. Initial count in and it's 71% Yes. Great display of support from a great city

I have to ask... Where do you get this information from?!

I must say if they counted 71% in an initial count compared to the real result of 57% then I think we need to invest more money into education and more specifically basic arithmetic for Scotland?
