I'm hoping to take advantage of this possibility Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday

Well first day in, and the GFS free atmosphere charts didn't let me down! Terrific thunderstorm around the middle of the Island that reverberated around the volcanic mountains and gave a great light show. Started at 4.30 am on Tuesday morning and continued for a couple of hours. I finally got out in it when the rain subsided and got the last 20 mins or so of action as it disappeared North. Certainly the best TStorm of the year for me, but a four-hour flight to experience it.

Southern Germany looks to get absolutely pounded later on today...Estofex have issued a level 3 warning for South Germany which indeed is a rare occurance...I shall be watching SAT24 imagery with great interest later on!!

I posted this link in the model thread in reply to a comment - this is probably the correct forum for it.
