Low pressure and occlusion lying to the west at 06z. At the moment temp of 9 with light S and 8/8 of Sc and St. Min was 8.3. The rain is not far away at 0930 but I don't think it's going to be as heavy as they seemed to indicate on the TV last night. The days have a certain similarity at the moment!

Rather cloudy today with a few clear/ sunny spells. The sunny spells seemed as a result of a foehn effect, with the breeze coming down from the nearby Cambrian hills to the SE, with one between 10-1100 raising the temperature by 4c in an hour. Another similar effect occurring mid afternoon. Just a few light showers at times also today.

In contrast,we drove to Machynlleth, in Powys north of here, where at 1600 it was decidedly chilly (around 6c) only.

Min: 4.9c

Max: 11.2c @ 1100

Rain yesterday: 0.2mm

Rain since 0900: Below 1mm.

Currently: 4.5c

RH: 94%

Pressure: 1012mbar, rising slowly.
