There is no other description for what is happening other than war crime and genocide.   Israel is technically the occupying force on Gaza and as such is duty bound to protect civilians.   Complet

The scenes in Gaza look like the aftermath of a nuclear bomb, utter devastation. The Israelis telling people to go back to their homes in northern Gaza as its "safe", what are they supposed to go back

Reported on the BBC too... An air strike on an army camp has killed three soldiers, the Syrian government says, blaming the US-led coalition for the attack. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-

And the concept of truth is entirely beyond your 'intellect'! Hail Trump! He's must be right, no matter what the evidence might have the temerity to suggest?:wallbash:

In Syria there isn't any good guys. The choices are Assad, ISIS, or ALQ backed rebels. It all depends on which of the bad guys could or has more chance of providing a stable government and wouldn't go around chopping heads of those who they perceive do wrong.   Well that rules out ISIS and the rebels who would also probably end up fighting amongst themselves. So for me it's the devil you know. Now whether you could get a deal with the Russians to make Assad stand down once a government has been formed and is stable enough is another question. The absence of any other leaders leaves the choices small. I suppose Turkey could annex it all as at one time they were certainly rattling their sabers. Perhaps once they've finished trying to run elections in European countries they may go back to this.

3 Reasons why Reports of a Syrian Chemical Weapons Attack on Idlib are Fake news.

    1. Syria Does Not Have Chemical Weapons....the rebels do.

    2. Russia Did Not Conduct Any Air Strikes on Idlib.

    3. Fake News from Fake Sources

The initial Reuters report on the event cites the UK based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights as its source. This organisation has been widely discredited as a propaganda outlet that has few actual contacts in Syria, if any.

And so they should - zero evidence to support any military action.

The danger is that Trump is desperate to gain some much needed  credilibilty with the American public but just have to hope wiser counsel prevails

Well, there we go. 50 or so missiles fired at a base in Syria. Trump supporters on the net are not pleased - and neither are the rest of us.

Russians were warned in advance, and no Russian assets were targeted, so hopefully that makes a difference.

Could be an attempt to make Trump look better without any actual consequences.

    Australia considering supporting too.

Hi Cheese according to CNN which is quoted in the last article I posted above Russia was not notified about the strike .

A US official said the US had told a number of countries about its planned strikes.

But it did not tell Russia, the official cited by CNN said.

It has been confirmed by the Pentagon that Russia was warned. They released a statement recently

    From Jeff Davis, Pentagon spokesperson:

    Quote

Russian forces were notified in advance of the strike using the established deconfliction line. US military planners took precautions to minimise risk to Russian or Syrian personnel located at the airfield.

We are assessing the results of the strike. Initial indications are that this strike has severely damaged or destroyed Syrian aircraft and support infrastructure and equipment at Shayrat airfield, reducing the Syrian government’s ability to deliver chemical weapons.

The use of chemical weapons against innocent people will not be tolerated.

CNN were wrong to report that.

Russians were at the base but should have left before the strikes began.

Seems like confusion arose because the US didn't contact Russia before, but they did contact Russian troops stationed at the airbase to warn them of the airstrikes, thus giving them opportunity to leave.

Russia plans to make a statement soon about US missile strikes on Syrian airbase, says Maria Zakharova, foreign ministry spokeswoman.
