: US Air Strike Hits Afghan Hospital

Medecins Sans Frontieres frantically phoned NATO and Washington as bombs rained down on its staff working in an Afghanistan hospital.

The agency has said at least nine of its aid workers were killed - and a further 19 were among the 37 seriously wounded - when the trauma centre was hit during the US strike.

America has admitted it may have killed a number of medics during the air raid in Kunduz, despite being told several times where their hospital was located.

There is no other description for what is happening other than war crime and genocide.   Israel is technically the occupying force on Gaza and as such is duty bound to protect civilians.   Complet

The scenes in Gaza look like the aftermath of a nuclear bomb, utter devastation. The Israelis telling people to go back to their homes in northern Gaza as its "safe", what are they supposed to go back

Reported on the BBC too... An air strike on an army camp has killed three soldiers, the Syrian government says, blaming the US-led coalition for the attack. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-

Sergei Lavrov's speech starts at the 5 minute mark.

    • 16:50 GMTThe Russian Air Force is bombing Islamic State, Jabhat al-Nusra and other terrorist groups in Syria, FM Sergey Lavrov said in New York.
According to Lavrov, those are the same targets of airstrikes carried out by the US-led coalition in Syria.

“We have the same approach,†he said.
    • However, he added that Moscow cannot join the US-led coalition as it was created by “side-stepping international laws,†i.e. without a UN Security Council resolution or the incumbent government’s consent.

What exactly is an Islamic supremacist? And once I've found out what it is your evidence for the statement.

An Islamist supremacist equals a believer in an incontrovertible Islamic caliphate. Here's a link to a local example (but the extremist concept is much broader i.e. world supremacy):

    http://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-29761018

A caliphate is attainable by violent means i.e. killing your opponents, or by non violent means such as by reproduction - having more babies. Control of the socio-sexual behaviour of both men and women is desirable (don't get me wrong, the Catholic Church is just as good at this as Islam!) for this.

I happen to believe that these people, and other religious fanatics, are neurologically changed by the fervour of their religious beliefs (there is scientific evidence for this and I can give you references).

The meaning of caliphate and what the current interpretation is is far more complex than that as is the definition of an Islamic extremist. There are a few books on this and I'm currently reading The Isis Apocalypse : The History, Strategy, and Doomsday Vision of the Islamic State  By William McCants. I only asked the question in the first place to find out the posters definition.

The problem is that I do understand.

I can't just "move on" when someone advocates supporting a monster like Assad

Should we really support Putin and Assad? and his crimes against humanity.

Here are a few of Assad's achievements for the Syrian people.

    230,000+ dead and millions displaced.

Institutionalised mass murder, abduction and torture. Estimates are that at least 13,000 have been tortured by Assad’s regime since the start of the war and a further 20,000 have “disappeared†after arrest. Photographs brought out of Syria (by Caesar…see article below) show people with their eyes gouged out, emaciated bodies, stomachs gouged open, burnt limbs and hundreds of corpses

Barrel bombs. Barrel bombs are cheap and easily deployed. They have killed tens of thousands of civilians across Syria. According to an Amnesty International report hundreds of strikes have been made against schools, hospitals, markets, mosques and other civilian targets …in one city alone.

Chemical weapons used against civilians. Check out the use of Sarin against Ghouta and the victims of that or weaponised chlorine attacks made against Idlib.

Any support for Assad’s regime is morally wrong…. that’s what I understand.

That was actually a yahoo link doh.

The mail headline is by the way misleading.

The Government last night admitted for the first time that the chemical was delivered to Syria – a clear breach of international protocol on the trade of dangerous substances that has been condemned as ‘grossly irresponsible’.

    So ISIS grabbed that/rebels.

UN accuses Syrian rebels of chemical weapons use Syrian rebels have made use of the deadly nerve agent sarin in their war-torn country's conflict, UN human rights investigator Carla del Ponte has said.

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/middleeast/syria/10039672/UN-accuses-Syrian-rebels-of-chemical-weapons-use.html

As the Iraq WMD circus lies taught us, it's not unreasonable to look at the claims of knowledge from the US and other governments with great scepticism. The Obama administration has been demanding that Assad "must go" for two years now, and been playing footsy with various rebel factions. It is not crazy to worry that the US would seek war with Syria under false pretences.

Yes, the Yahoo news feed collects stories from lots of sources....in this case ANI, an Indian news agency.

The article you link to draws on an infowars story, saying for example "According to Infowars.com, the December 25 email was sent from Britam's Business Development Director David Goulding to company founder Philip Doughty".

Glad though, that you share my concern about the use of chemical weapons. It was irresponsible for UK to export sodium fluoride to Syria, given that country's track record. Used in toothpaste as well as chemical weapons I don't suppose Assad was concerned with reducing tooth deacy.

Iran Unveils New Super Hi-Tech Torpedo.

    http://english.farsnews.com/newstext.aspx?nn=13940711001431

The Admiral explained that the gruesome weapon had originally been made by the Russians, adding that Americans had spent a sum of 20 billion dollars in 15 years to develop its technology, but failed.

The Russians call the torpedo Shkval. The speed of this missile or torpedo far exceeds that of any standard torpedo currently fielded by NATO. This speed is a result of supercavitation: the torpedo is, in effect, flying in a gas bubble created by outward deflection of water by its specially shaped nose cone and the expansion of gases from its engine. By keeping water from coming into contact with the surface of the body of the torpedo, drag is significantly reduced, allowing extremely high speeds.

Russia almost manage to do in 1 week what USA "tried" to do in 2 years in defeating ISIS. Should cast some doubts on USA's sincerity in defeating ISIS, think it's becoming clear they want ISIS there to keep the Middle East unstable.

Yep indeed the west has gone very quiet must be a big shock, makes you wonder what the US have been upto all along for 12 months bombing Syria illegally and ISIS have expanded even more, something doesn`t add up to the average person on the street.

This is a mainstream article looking at it in the US a few days ago.

It pains me to say this, but Russia’s President Vladimir Putin is now leading the charge against ISIS in the world and Obama knows it. Quite simply it is time that a leader emerges and knows that bad people need to have bad things happen to them. This is not the time for diplomacy and deal making. It’s time to take ISIS out and the people and regimes who support them. For the first time in modern history, America is not leading the charge for freedom in the world. Instead, this administration is still trying to coexist. Putin seems to be the only one willing to do what needs to be done in the Middle East to contain ISIS.

The question is: where did all the money go? Well, first of all, the Iraqi Army pushed ISIL out of the oil wells in Iraq. Second, the United States used its channels to eradicate middlemen who helped ISIL to sell illegal oil on the black market. Furthermore, with the start of airstrikes the terrorist organization stopped receiving "cash convoys" from their sponsors due to a risk of them being destroyed, the RIA Novosti journalist explained.
