Sleet and ice pellets early this morning turning to moderate snow by 0600. The snow continued until 0830 and then reverted to ice pellets. Thick fog for the 6th consecutive morning with vis' currently 50 mts.

The temp' is 0.1c after a min' of -0.1c.

Rainfall in 24hrs ending 0900, 8.5 mm

Mean wind speed, 8 mph E

Light ice pellets falling.

After 20.8mm of rain last night it was mainly cloudy early on then sunny intervals from mid morning onwards with the sky mostly blue at the moment. Mild and feeling spring like in the sun. Believe it or not I'm sat out in the garden though it feels a bit chilly when the sun goes in.

Light sleet and ice pellets continued for much of the morning, eventually giving way to moderate drizzle by early afernoon and even this dying out by 1430. Thick fog all day with vis' never better than about 80 mts.

A slow thaw but 50% snow cover was retained until around 1700.
