dull and damp with a chilling breeze from the SE-air frost in the early hours

(Min=-0.3C), with the temp now up to 4.2C

A clear start to last night with a widespread ground frost but just missed an air frost. Clouding over after midnight with thick hill fog and a few sleet showers early this morning. Still a thin scattering of hail lying from the showers yesterday afternoon.

Currently dry with thick fog, vis' is 120mts.

The temp' is 2.0c after a min' of 0.3c

Rainfall in 24hrs ending 0900, 2.2 mm

A clear start overnight allowed the temperature to fall low enough for a widespread ground frost to develop. Cloud and an increasing wind after midnight lifted the temperature to 3.4c by dawn. At observation, overcast, feeling cool in the force 4-5 easterly wind.

5C with a dew point of 2C. Last night's snow has long gone, except the wee snow man I managed to build. Despite the supposed cold snowy winter last night's snowman is the biggest snow man I have managed to build since 2006. No wonder BoyCatchI thinks snow is boring.
