I do remember that, my notes for the days include mention of a few snow grains. However there was some freezing around here

because I have pictures of frozen puddles in the woods.

Yes, remember that very well. -1 to -2 day and night, yet the ground was muddy and no ice formed anywhere. No snow either that I remember, just anticyclonic gloom. Very strange few days, even now I don't really understand why it failed to freeze with the air temp below freezing for so long.
