I spent a year in Alblasserdam (several metres below sea level), and I am fond of the Dutch. I have to say though that, all things considered, peak everything, climate change, over-population, world economy, and the vast areas under sea level, well, the last place I'm going to pitch my tent is the Netherlands. Flooding could be a catastrophe in that country, and before it comes from the sea, it will probably come from within the continent.
