Light snow here in Blisworth. Now that was a surprise.

Well, my prediction of snow possible for Northamptonshire has come true :winky: Now all I need is for no snow to fall in Leicester, Nottingham and Derby and i'll have a full house :lol:

Models not looking good, maybe a bit of temporary snow on friday, but mild after, next week looks horrid, quite warm, TEITS very confident of a beast from mid Jan, admire his optimism, his instincts good and really hope he is right, but IB predicts warmish SW winds

most likely fairly mild to mild upto the 16th, then hopefully TEITS's beast will come off, currently not mild now though at -3.1C

Only sporadic odds and sods. Flakes larger here. Not settling on the roads mind.

Woop woop! Typical though, if it's a small amount we attract it...If it's a substantial amount we seem to repel it to other areas...

To my absolute amazement, it is snowing lightly here in Northampton this evening. Unexpected to say the least but I'm not complaining!

Clear skies (well almost) here for the first time in a while, down to -3c aswell.

Anyway im keeping track on Friday as theres the potential for a few hours of snow before it turns back to the rain as the low is trending southwards with each run a smidge.

Seems to be some significant temperature variations locally tonight. -5.6c here with some only around -2c and others around -4 etc.

Snow wise up to the weekend-very slim bar the odd bit maybe on Friday. The weekend could deliver a Cheshire gap i suppose but too far away right now.

radar looks very unexpected for the West and East Midlands at this moment in time. wasnt expecting chunks of snow bands all over the Midlands at this time/ looks as though a cm or two in places at that pace.
