Kelvin-Helmholtz Waves - Jersey

South coast of Jersey. Not the best examples of K-H waves and both were dissipating by the time I had the camera out, but I haven't seen them often and can't ever think I've seen them on two days following.

Maybe not the best example but very impressive all the same. I regret I've never actually seen them. Thanks for posting.

I've seen that sort of thing before, but didn't know what they were called.

We saw some stunning KH waves in the States last year on Tour 1...iirc we were near the Arkansas-Oklahoma border...sadly, they were directly in front so very difficult to photograph (I dont think anyone got them)...but they were by far the most pronounced I've ever seen.

That said, those pics are great! Awesome as well how you spotted them as they seen quite well camouflaged against other cloud.
