Another severe frost, though variable cloud through the night has prevented the temperature from falling to the extreme lows of previous nights, night low –6.0c, but the moderate NE wind is making for a severe wind chill of –12c. The 24 hour low since 09:00GMT yesterday was –11.1c. Mainly cloudy conditions persisted, with only brief bright or sunny spells. The keen NE made it feel very cold indeed. Maximum –1.4c.
