A dry, sunny and frosty day in Cleadon. A lot of high cloud, mostly to the west, during the morning, associated with the large clump of snow that affected north-west England but failed to make significant inroads to the east of the Pennines. A minimum of -6.6C last night in spite of significant cloud cover.

Clearer skies spread from the east as the day went on, with cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds looming increasingly close out in the North Sea. Maximum temperature 0.8C, due partly to sunshine and partly due to a slight wind off the North Sea. Currently -0.4C and falling slowly.

Still no snow on the ground but will have to dodge a lot of showers for that to remain the case tomorrow morning methinks!
