Freezing cold here today, there wasn't any particular forecast for snow but we had a couple of heavy showers between 7.30am and 8.30am, it is still lying as the ground was very dry and cold. Has been clear blue sky and sunny since but in the last half hour or so cloud is creeping in, and it looks ominous. Currently:-

Windchill 1c

Humidity 52%

Dewpoint -8c

another Ice Day to add to the late autumn/winter total, not bad from a low of only -2.9C, rare also to see ice remaining on puddles of water in a town centre.

After a clear and windy night it has been a mostly cloudy but dry day. Theres a light dusting of snow on the ground from a shower late yesterday afternoon but not enough to qualify by MetOffice standards. Not excessively cold last night with a min of -2.8C but the temperature has only struggled to a max of -0.7C, making it the 4th ice day this month (and more than the total number of ice days of the last 15 years previous to this month).

Currently mostly cloudy at -1.0C and 76% humidity.
