Far too gimicky.

Go for one with Rain Bucket and Anemometer, The LaCrosse are good starter ones http://www.weather-station-products.co.uk/ecom-prodshow/WS1501.html or similar (I have a WS-3200 I think)

But most of us who take Weather remotely seriously will be using a Davis, I and many others in particular have a Vantage Pro 2 and runs my weather station (link below)

However, you are not going to get any change out of £600!

thanks for the reply,i think £600 Is a bit steep for me,will stick to the cheaper ones for now.
