96 MPH Ronaldsway (IOM) is what I am plumping for.

P.s what a great incentive, I would love Netweather Extra but unfortunately is an expense and luxury I cannot really accommodate atm.

Are you going to accept sites in Ireland? Announcement said met office meaning only UK sites, correct?

If Ireland is in, change mine to 120 mph at Malin Head.

Are you anticipating the apocolypse!?

120mph? woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooshhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, that is extreme stuff.

For the sake of the comp, I think we need to say UK weather station sites only - as would be reported by the Met-Office.

Is Holyhead a UK weather station site?

Good idea this :D

To spice things up - winner gets a 12 month netweather extra subscription!

Not wishing to take over RRR's thread, but for the sake of fairness, closing time for entries eligible to win the prize is midnight tonight!

Thanks Paul!

As the stakes are high(!), maybe the rules should be a bit more official-like!

It wasn't really stated in the first post, but are we going with closest gust with the correct location? What if someone gets the gust bang on but the wrong location?

Also as i started the topic am i allowed to rule out other guesses for minor infringements and declare myself the winner?

If destroyed due to the wind, then I think it'll be safe to say that the wind gusts exceeded all of our predictions. If destroyed due to sabotage, well.....

Some people will go to extreme means to get a free netw subscription.

Anyone got a windtunnel close by?? :)
