It does look a bit strange, but I'd be interested to know more about upper level weather conditions, wind shear etc, moisture levels as it may be nothing more than a air-liner generating a contrail made to look odd due to unusual atmospheric conditions.... :unknw:

There's video here:

And discussing on ATS here:

To add further mystery, another possible missile spotted over Arizona on the 6th:

My initial thoughts were aircraft contrails but I ain't too sure.

Not every missile test is made public. I'm sure there would be a NOTAM if one digs deep enough.

There are one or two secret satellite tests ongoing. X37B is a distinctly possible contender and this may well be a test to detect missile launches by sensors on that craft.

Also bear in mind thet the X37B was launched 7 months ago with a nine month classified mission profile and an undisclosed orbit which was changed recently.

The US Navy has said it does not know where the missile originated, but then the X37B is not a Navy craft, it is operated by the USAF.

The media loves a good conspiracy almost as much as the gullible public who want to believe in the absurd when a mundane explanation is vastly more probable.

ffO.

Well, another good example of why you should never trust the media - who immediate jumped to every conclusion except the obvious one.

Looks like it was just US Air Flight 808 inbound from Hawaii to Phoenix :)

Chemtrails :whistling:

Wash your mouth out with soap, you disgusting man :o :p

Couldnt have been inbound, as the "trail" was heading out Westwards over the Ocean.

Not to mention routing on the day in question was denied in the LA-Bay, as NOTAMS show Military manouvers within the vicinity up to FL390. No IFR flights were given clearance to overfly the corridor routes.
