I have recorded my lowest pressure ever here, fell to 953.4HPA, currently 953.5HPA, temp 6.8C with a light breeze, wind didnt get that strong last night! nothing above 35/40 mph.

Outbreaks of moderate rain arrived around 3:30am, accompanied by a cold strong and gusty south easterly wind. At observation, cold, moderate rain, very windy.

Patchy cloud drifting over the area bringing the odd light shower through the night helped prevent an air frost forming, though the temperature still fell to 1.8c with -1.4c on the grass, so a ground frost detected. Sunny spells followed throughout the day and the wind stayed light. Top temperature, 8.0c. The evening started clear with a ground frost setting in, cloud and wind increased before midnight lifting the frost.

Very windy heavy rain temp 3.8c dew point 2.8c at Biggin Hill Kent on the North Downs -temps almost cold enough for some wet snow .

Windy, cold and wet with continuous moderate sleet ( 90% rain, 10% ice )

The temperature is 2.5c after a min' of 1.8c and a grass min' of -1.5c

Mean wind speed at 0900 was 40 mph, gusting to 58 although it has decreased a bit since then.

Rainfall in 24 hrs ending 0900, 15.9 mm

The temperature has actually fallen slightly in the last 3 hours and now stands at 2.2c. Continuous moderate sleet at a ratio of about 80:20 in favour of rain.

Mean wind speed is generally around 32 mph SE

Cold wet and windy day here. It wasn't as bad overnight as all the 'hype/ramping' suggested on here, I've experienced far worse in the past. Current observations;-

Netweather some way out today on rain forecast - total of 12mm between midnight and 11:30a.m. then dry with gaps in the cloud. No torrential rain at 12:00-15:00.

Wind speeds peaked around 8:00a.m. with average speed at 40mph with gusts to 50mph. Now quite calm at around 10mph. Temp is 10C. Baro 963mb steady.
