Very mild, windy and wet, although the rain is only light, just persistent. Having said that there are holes in the cloud sheet and half an hour ago, when it was raining here, there was sunshine on the hills about 4 miles to the north east, and a partial rainbow visible through the shreds of stratus.

The temp' is 13.2c having reached a max' of 13.5c during the early hours. The overnight min' was 9.9c but the 24 hr min' was 8.5c.

An unexpected short spell of torrential downpours of rain and squally winds moved through the area during the early hours, leaving 6.2mm in about 10 minutes. A bright start with hazy sunny spells. By late morning cloud increased to overcast and the afternoon saw some light showery rain. Top temperature 15.4c. Maximum wind gust 28mph WNW.

17.7C corrected at the moment, mainly CuSc, and a few breaks with the sun out at times. It feels like summer really in spite of the breeze.

I'm sure 17.7C is not a record but I'll have a dip into my Cantley data and then RAF Finningley.

Really mild and hunid last night, the warmest November night for many years.

Dull and windy (SSW) today with a little rain and drizzle at times. Very mild.

The early morning rain died out by 0915 and the rest of the morning was cloudy and very mild with a strong SW wind. The afternoon began dry but light-moderate rain set in by about 1515 and continued for the rest of the day.

Once again the western slopes of the Peak had much more rain than the eastern side, almost 3 times as much by 1800.
