Hi.

Was checking the radar to see if my walkers had paied off.

It was far west of Northern Ireland. One minute it would be showing a whole front moving through, but on the next 5 minute update they had completely dissapeared.

Can anyone help me with this? Cheers. :)

Occasionally the radar will switch to the previous days' slide for whatever timescale you're trying to view and then

on the next slide it will be back correctly to the day you're on.

That occurs when the data file from the metoffice doesn't arrive on time, we do process them as soon as they come in though.

As we've always advised, whilst we try to get on here and reply to threads as regularly as possible the quickest way to get support (especially for things like the radar or non community enquiries) is to contact the team direct:

Hi Paul,

Normally the radar is so sensitive that any precipitation falling shows up even if it does not reach the ground. However, in the last day or so the persistent light snow that we have experienced has not registered on the radar. This is heavier stuff than snizzle. Is it not registering because it falls under the radar so to speak or do you need to tweak a few sensitivity knobs your end?

Cheers,

Ed

It's not something at this end, it's purely something the metoffice are either filtering accidentally or it could be that it is under the beams as you say.

When playing back the 5 minute radar, it sometimes skips and shows a band that is non-exitsent, or makes the precip dissapear alltogether.

Hi Backtrack, there's a small bug in the latest beta version of V5 which has recently gone online, we'll hopefully get a fix in there for it tomorrow. V4 is working fine though.
