Was at my dad's , 4 miles down the road last night. Woke up at 3am to very heavy rain outside. Had a hefty hail shower there this morning at 11am and it's rather chilly outside compared to yesterday. At the moment here in Haddington ,

Dark clouds appearing to the south at the moment. Overnight minimum here in haddington was 5.2C

Overnight rain cleared to give us a mainly cloudy day with bright intervals and showers, particularly around lunchtime. The clouds cleared mid afternoon. Current conditions: sunny, 9.9 deg C, wind light NW. Today's maximum 10.8, last night's minimum 9.6.

Ceredigion sure had a soaking today! The wettest day since July.

Rain at times began this time yesterday evening and became very heavy to torrential from 2300, not clearing until 0300.

Max rate of 44mm/ hour.

Further heavy/ torrential showers, prolonged with a little hail 10-1400, and it became very cool in this lot (6.8c @ 1400).

Sunny intervals rest of the afternoon before a streamer of more heavy- torrential showers since 1800, again with some hail at times mixed in.

Light to moderate winds between south and west, but veered NW from mid afternoon.
