Only light rain detected here overnight, low a very mild 14.4c.

There were some sunny spells, but showers and thunderstorms developed quickly in the area through the morning and continued well in to the afternoon and evening with some heavy ones in some spots, but this location missed the worst of it, the heavy and prolonged storms stayed to the south of this station..

Still on the warm side, though it become much cooler with a rapid drop from a maximum of 19.4c around 3pm to 12.8c at 18:00hrs.

The early morning hill fog lifted by 0815 g.m.t and the morning was dry and mainly cloudy but with a few sunny intervals developing by late morning. The afternoon began dry with sunny intervals and then a short heavy shower for 10 minutes around 1400 g.m.t. Further sunny intervals followed the shower and the main action of the afternoon was a vicious little thunderstorm moving north east a few miles south of here between 1520 and 1630 g.m.t. We had only a few spots of rain on the very edge of it but there was a spell of torrential rain further south with continuous thunder for 40 minutes from 1520 g.m.t.

A dry end to the afternoon with one or two late sunny intervals but there's another thunderstorm following a similar track to the one this afternoon as I type.

only heavy rain-wow-torrential even though my weather station only shows a max of 38mm or so at any one time. Not only torrential rain but one flash and almost instantaneous crack at 2240, never been so wet in many years hiking and this only on way back from pub, roads and paths under 1-2 inches water in most places.. Started 2240 went from dry to torrential rain and breezy within minutes, currently now about moderate rain only with T=12.9 Td=11.6C, wind=N'ly 4-5 kt gusting 14-15mph, rainfall so far 10.4mm with 38.2mm/hr at 2247, seemed a lot more than that!
