UK Outlook for Thursday 7 Jul 2016 to Saturday 16 Jul 2016:

Conditions look likely to remain changeable and often unsettled as bands of cloud and rain push eastwards across the British Isles, these interspersed with drier and brighter periods with some sunshine, but also some showers. In general the wettest weather is most likely to occur across the west and northwest, where it will also be windy at times, while the south and east are more likely to see the best of any more prolonged drier and brighter spells. The temperature is expected to be mostly on the cool side for the time of year, particularly in western and northern parts. However it will feel warmer in any drier, sunnier periods, especially in the south and east.

UK Outlook for Sunday 17 Jul 2016 to Sunday 31 Jul 2016:

It is likely that the changeable weather will persist for many parts of the British Isles through the second half of July with spells of rain pushing in from the west, interspersed by drier spells with sunshine, but also some showers. The wettest and most unsettled conditions are most likely to occur across northwestern parts, whilst the southeast should see more in the way of drier, brighter weather, although there is also a chance of more humid continental air moving up across the south and southeast at times, which would bring very warm temperatures and perhaps a risk of some thundery showers. The temperature in general will probably be close to or below average for July at first, but tending to become a bit warmer overall later in the month.

UK Outlook for Friday 8 Jul 2016 to Sunday 17 Jul 2016:

Eastern and southern parts are likely to start dry and bright on Friday, but outbreaks of rain and strengthening winds should push northeastwards across the country later on Friday and during Saturday. The strongest winds and heaviest rain is expected to occur in the northwest. Brighter weather with showers is then expected to spread across the country from the west later on Saturday and during Sunday. The rest of the period is likely to continue changeable, with showers or longer spells of rain, interspersed with some dry and bright interludes. The most unsettled weather probably occurring in the northwest, with the best of the bright spells occurring in the southeast. Temperatures are likely to be near or a little below average, though feeling warm in the brighter spells.

UK Outlook for Saturday 9 Jul 2016 to Monday 18 Jul 2016:

However, south-eastern areas are expected to remain dry, warm and humid on Saturday, before rain arrives on Sunday. All areas turning progressively cooler over the weekend. Low pressure is expected to dominate for the rest of the period, so the weather is most likely to remain rather unsettled with a mix of sunshine and showers, interspersed by longer spells of rain at times. The wettest conditions are probably most likely across northern and central parts, with a greater likelihood of longer settled, warmer spells of weather in the south of England.

UK Outlook for Friday 15 Jul 2016 to Sunday 24 Jul 2016:

A largely dry and fine end to the week is expected, especially across southern areas. In northwestern parts there may be rain at times, but the southeastern extent of this is currently uncertain. Into the following week northwestern parts are likely to see outbreaks of rain or showers, interspersed by drier and brighter interludes. The southeast will see more prolonged drier and brighter spells, but occasional rain can't be ruled out, with perhaps some thundery downpours early in the week. It may still be warm or very warm in the south at first, but temperatures will become average or slightly above for most of the UK through the week.

Scotland and Northern Ireland will be cooler and breezier with rain at times, these conditions perhaps spreading south across northern England through the day. Thereafter, rather changeable conditions look likely to dominate through the remainder of the period. Northwestern parts are likely to see more in the way of rain or showers, interspersed by drier and brighter interludes. The southeast should see more drier and brighter spells, but also some rain at times. After a warm start in the south, near average temperatures are expected for most areas through the period, this made up of a mixture of cooler, wetter days and some warmer, brighter ones.

UK Outlook for Monday 18 Jul 2016 to Wednesday 27 Jul 2016:

On the whole, southern parts of the UK will see a great deal of dry, bright and warm weather through the second half of July, with only temporary cloudier spells when there will be some patchy rain or isolated showers. Across the north however, it will likely stay more changeable with bands of rain pushing in from the west, interspersed by interludes of drier and brighter conditions, but also with some showers. The wettest conditions are always most likely in the northwest where it may be rather windy at times too. Temperature will generally be near average for most areas through the period, though southern parts will likely see some warm, or even very warm days at times.
