UK Outlook for Sunday 3 Apr 2011 to Tuesday 12 Apr 2011:

The unsettled weather is likely to continue into the first week, with spells of rain for most places. Northern and western parts of the country are likely to see the most rain, where it is likely to be heavy and persistent at times, and accompanied by strong to gale force winds. Remaining generally changeable into the following week, with further spells of wind and rain, especially in the northwest of the country. Southern parts of the UK will see occasional rain at first, but there are signs that pressure may build across the south, bringing more reliably dry and settled conditions into the start of the following week. Temperatures generally a little above normal in most places, but may become warm or very warm in the south and east later.

UK Outlook for Wednesday 6 Apr 2011 to Friday 15 Apr 2011:

Unsettled across many northern and western parts of the UK at first, with spells of rain occasionally becoming heavy and persistent, coupled with occasionally gale-force winds. The south and east will likely be drier and clearer, with more moderate winds that will further ease with time. Temperatures should be above normal generally; particularly towards the southeast, although the strength of the wind, particularly in the northwest, will mean that it will feel cooler. Into the first weekend, the unsettled and windy conditions look to become increasingly confined to the far northwest, with many southern parts often dry and warm with sunny spells. Into the second week, the settled conditions over most of the country look to steadily erode, particularly in the north, with temperatures countrywide likely returning to nearer average.

UK Outlook for Friday 8 Apr 2011 to Sunday 17 Apr 2011:

Generally settled through Friday with sunny spells and warm southeasterly winds for most, although perhaps cooler and mistier near southern and southeastern coasts. Cloudier in northwest Scotland with possible light rain in northern Isles. Saturday will be similar, but with risk of some showers later in Cornwall, and further light rain in northwest Scotland, otherwise dry and bright or sunny. Through Sunday and the first part of the following week it looks as though southern and central areas will be mainly dry and bright with temperatures above normal, but northern areas will likely be cloudier and breezier with rain at times and temperatures near normal. A similar pattern is probable through the second part of the week with drier, brighter, warmer conditions in the south, but cloudier, wetter in north.

UK Outlook for Sunday 10 Apr 2011 to Tuesday 19 Apr 2011:

Mainly dry, bright and warm Sunday, with a few showery outbreaks of rain to the west. Through the first part of the new week, the southern half of the UK should remain dry and bright with light winds and temperatures above normal. Northern areas, however, are likely to turn cloudier and windier with rain at times, especially Monday and Tuesday, with temperatures generally near normal. A similar pattern is likely through the second part of the week, and into the rest of the period, with the north remaining windy and unsettled at times with rain or showers. Meanwhile, further south, the drier and more settled weather will gradually give way to breezier and more unsettled conditions with temperatures returning to near normal, and perhaps some occasional rain or showers later.

UK Outlook for Monday 11 Apr 2011 to Wednesday 20 Apr 2011:

Southern and eastern parts of the UK are expected to remain largely dry and bright through much of next week. To the north and west more unsettled with showers at first then cloudier and windier with spells of more persistent rain, heavy at times, especially over northwestern Scotland. A little rain may spread into central parts of the UK at times later next week. During the rest of the period, the north and west remains unsettled whilst to the south and east still a good deal of fine, dry weather but some hint that conditions here may become a little more unsettled later. Temperatures generally above normal, especially to the south, so feeling pleasantly warm in sunshine. Temperatures then perhaps returning to nearer normal later in the period.

UK Outlook for Tuesday 12 Apr 2011 to Thursday 21 Apr 2011:

Largely fine to begin with, but conditions are expected to turn more unsettled later Tuesday or Wednesday as outbreaks of rain develop in many areas. The rest of next week and the start of the following week, will tend to be generally more unsettled than of late with showers or longer spells of rain affecting most parts at times, the north and west in particular. To the south and east there will be spells of fine, dry weather too and in spite of some rain at times rainfall amounts are likely to remain below average. Temperatures tending to become more widely near normal next week as conditions turn more unsettled, though to the south and east maxima will tend to be above average during brighter periods, especially at first.

UK Outlook for Monday 18 Apr 2011 to Wednesday 27 Apr 2011:

The mostly settled and generally dry theme looks set to continue for many areas, with variable amounts of cloud and some sunny spells. Winds are likely to be fairly light for most places, however it will be breezy at times in the south and west, particularly at first. Also, temperatures will be around or above average for mid to late April across much of the UK, with some warm days likely. However, there is a chance of outbreaks of rain spreading into western parts of the UK, especially southwestern parts of England and Wales. Any rain that does spread into western areas is unlikely to make much eastwards progress, with most east and particularly northeastern parts of the UK remaining dry.

The mostly settled and generally dry theme looks set to continue for many areas, with variable amounts of cloud and some sunny spells. However outbreaks of rain may spread into some southwestern parts at times, although they will make fairly limited northeastward progress. However, there is a chance of showers spreading into southern parts at times. Winds are likely to be fairly light for most places, although it may be breezy in western parts at times. Temperatures will be generally around or above average, with some warm days likely. However, it may be somewhat cooler in some western parts in association with any early rain or showers.

A good deal of fine and dry weather for much of the UK, though southern and western areas are likely to see scattered showers, occasionally heavy in the southwest, and there may also be some low cloud and mist along North Sea coasts. Northern and western parts of the UK may well turn more changeable for a time next week, with spells of wet and windy weather, before probably becoming more settled again towards the end of the month. Generally warm or very warm inland at first, but cooler near coasts with sea breezes and feeling quite chilly at times under low cloud along North Sea fringes. UK Outlook for Monday 25 Apr 2011 to Wednesday 4 May 2011:

Easter Monday, for the majority of the UK, will still feel warm in the sunny spells with above average temperatures, but the northwest is expected to be cloudier, cooler and with occasional rain. Thereafter, a good deal of fine and dry weather should continue for much of the UK, although there could be some scattered showers in places. The far northwest of the UK will generally keep cloudier conditions with outbreaks of patchy rain and drizzle at times. Eastern areas of the UK will perhaps become cloudier through the week with the possibility of some rain, making it feel quite chilly. However, the cloud could burn back to the coast during the afternoons. Elsewhere, the best of the sunshine should remain in western areas with temperatures closer to average.

UK Outlook for Tuesday 26 Apr 2011 to Thursday 5 May 2011:

Southern areas may start off rather cloudy and damp at first on Tuesday, but it should clear up here during the afternoon. Then much of the UK should see a fine and dry first week, although cooler than of late, especially in brisk east to northeasterly winds across southern parts of the country. Mist or fog could affect some North Sea coasts and occasional light rain may affect the far northwest at times. Into next weekend, there is a chance of more persistent rain affecting west and southwestern areas of the UK, however drier, more settled conditions are likely to return to most parts as we head into May. After a cooler spell during the first week, temperatures look to become warmer for many during the beginning of May.

UK Outlook for Wednesday 27 Apr 2011 to Friday 6 May 2011:

Much of the UK should be fine and dry on Wednesday, although with a cool breeze near some eastern coasts. Light winds and clear skies overnight will bring a risk of frost inland. Scattered showers may affect some southern and eastern parts on Thursday, but drier and feeling warmer further west. Into next weekend, indications suggest fairly warm conditions in the west, but with an increasing risk of showers here, but remaining rather cool in exposure to what may be quite strong easterly winds, strongest in the south. As we head into May, easterly winds look to dominate, with conditions possibly turning more unsettled in the south, and the chance of seeing more organised rain. The driest conditions look set for more northern parts of the United Kingdom.

UK Outlook for Thursday 28 Apr 2011 to Saturday 7 May 2011:

After a largely fine start for many, the trend during the remainder of the week and into next weekend is for cloudier conditions to develop over central, eastern and southern parts bringing an increasing risk of showers or outbreaks of rain. Elsewhere, conditions are more likely to remain largely fine and dry. Temperatures will be close to or just above normal for late April and early May, although with freshening easterly winds it will feel chilly at times towards North Sea coastal areas. Into the following week, it is likely that northern Britain will remain largely dry and settled, whereas further south conditions are likely to be more unsettled with showers or longer spells of rain and temperatures may fall a little by the end of the period.
