UK Outlook for Monday 30 Mar 2015 to Wednesday 8 Apr 2015:

Unsettled through Monday and Tuesday with bouts of strong winds and heavy rain, interspersed by brighter, showery interludes. The heaviest rain and greatest risk of gales will be in the north and west, but with good shelter to the east of high ground allowing some brighter, albeit gusty, conditions here. Southeastern areas will see the best of the dry weather, but still windy with occasional rain. Temperatures mostly mild in the south, but colder in the north. Generally remaining changeable through the remainder of next week and into Easter, with spells of wind and rain, especially across northwestern parts, interspersed by brighter conditions with, for some, showers; these wintry over hills during colder northwesterly interludes. Temperatures mainly near average, but with the possibility of a colder interlude and night frosts.

UK Outlook for Thursday 9 Apr 2015 to Thursday 23 Apr 2015:

The changeable period will probably continue, with unsettled conditions interspersed with some spells of fine weather. Current indications are that westerly regime will persist allowing showers or longer spells of rain to affect the UK at times, with northwestern parts likely seeing the most frequent bouts of unsettled weather. There will likely be some drier, more settled periods too, predominantly across the south and east; but across all parts at times. There will therefore probably be a wide range in temperatures with some warmer days, but also some cold nights, with a continued risk of frosts; especially in the north. By mid-April, signals become very uncertain.

UK Outlook for Thursday 2 Apr 2015 to Saturday 11 Apr 2015:

Cool and showery weather will continue affecting some northern parts on Thursday, whilst further south it will turn cloudier with some rain crossing eastwards, and eventually clearing away southeast during Friday. Into the Easter weekend, it is most likely that we'll see less windy conditions with more fine and dry weather around, though it is likely to feel cool at times with some showers possible for all. Thereafter changeable conditions are expected, most often across the north, whilst high pressure close to the south of the UK, perhaps occasionally amplifying northwards across the UK, is likely to bring some more prolonged drier and brighter conditions across the south west in particular. Temperatures will generally be near average, occasionally just above in sunnier spells, though with localised overnight frost also possible.

UK Outlook for Sunday 12 Apr 2015 to Sunday 26 Apr 2015:

The changeable period is expected to continue, with unsettled conditions interspersed with some spells of fine weather. With a westerly weather type most likely showery outbreaks or longer spells of rain are likely to affect parts of the UK throughout the period. These unsettled conditions will be most frequent across the northwest, although extending further south and east at times. There will also be some drier, brighter and settled periods, these most prolonged the south and east, and perhaps also later in the period. Temperatures are expected to remain close to the average for the middle of April. However they will vary from day to day, and there are likely to be some cold nights, especially in the north where localised frosts remain possible.

UK Outlook for Friday 3 Apr 2015 to Sunday 12 Apr 2015:

Many areas away from the far northeast of the UK will probably be dull and cloudy with outbreaks of rain on Good Friday. However, it should be mostly dry during the weekend with variable and often large amounts of cloud. Winds should also be light or moderate and daytime temperatures near or slightly below average. On Easter Monday and Tuesday, thicker cloud, outbreaks of rain and stronger winds may affect western and northwestern parts of Britain but most other areas should be dry with sunny spells. Temperatures show signs of becoming a little above average. Thereafter, northwestern areas are more likely to have the most changeable conditions with spells of rain interspersed with colder, showery weather. Meanwhile, the best of the drier and brighter conditions should be to the southeast.

UK Outlook for Monday 13 Apr 2015 to Monday 27 Apr 2015:

During the second half of April conditions are considered most likely to be broadly typical for the time of year. As such some spells of fine, dry weather are likely, the best of these probably over southern regions, but occasional bouts of more unsettled weather with rain or showers should also be expected, perhaps more especially in the north. During fine spells maximum temperatures are likely to be near or a little above average, whilst during showery spells daytime temperatures may well be below average, especially in the north. Some cold nights, with localised frost, are also likely at times.

UK Outlook for Wednesday 8 Apr 2015 to Friday 17 Apr 2015:

Settled and largely dry conditions are expected to prevail across much of the country during the rest of next week. Cloud amounts will be more variable, but some bright or sunny spells are expected, with a risk of overnight fog patches in places. The far northwest, however, may see weather fronts skirt the area at times, giving the risk of some patchy light rain here. Temperatures are likely to be near or just above average, but some chilly nights are possible under clear skies. Towards the middle of the month the high pressure may start to decline, allowing more unsettled conditions to move in, more especially across northwestern Britain. Temperatures are expected to remain near average, but it should feel pleasantly warm in any brighter spells.

UK Outlook for Friday 10 Apr 2015 to Sunday 19 Apr 2015:

The weather is likely to gradually turn more unsettled across northwestern areas towards this weekend, whereas southeastern areas are likely to remain mostly dry and settled. The northwest/southeast split is then likely to continue into the following week, with a good deal of fine weather in the south and east, with some spring sunshine and light winds. Meanwhile across more northern and northwestern areas there will tend to be thicker cloud, some showers or longer outbreaks of rain and brisker winds, especially towards the northwest. Temperatures are most likely to be near or just below normal in the northwest, but a little above in the south and east where it may feel very warm at times in the spring sunshine.

Any early rain on Saturday soon clearing leaving sunny spells but also cooler conditions than of late. Some showers in the north then, showers perhaps wintry over hills. Sunday then looks more unsettled with overnight cloud and rain in the northwest spreading into most other regions. Likely windy in the northwest as well. After the weekend, conditions look likely to be on the changeable side, especially at first, with cloudier spells and outbreaks of rain interspersed by drier, brighter spells. Northern and western parts can expect the most frequent bouts of unsettled weather whilst southern and eastern parts should see the most prolonged brighter periods. Temperatures then often near or above average under fine weather when it will feel quite pleasant and colder when unsettled. Some chilly nights also likely.

UK Outlook for Wednesday 15 Apr 2015 to Friday 24 Apr 2015:

Many areas seeing fine and dry conditions at first, with the best of the sunshine across the south of the UK. Northern and northwestern areas, however, are likely to be more unsettled with outbreaks of rain, which may then make some southeastwards progress. It will become rather warm for many and perhaps even very warm in places, but under the cloudier skies in the northwest temperatures will be nearer normal. From later next week most areas should see some fine weather but northwestern areas are most likely to be affected by spells of rain or showers and fresh winds. These unsettled conditions may become more widespread into the following week. Temperatures should stay above average, especially during fine weather, but cooler conditions may spread form the northwest later.

UK Outlook for Friday 24 Apr 2015 to Sunday 3 May 2015:

Cloudier conditions with outbreaks of rain are expected to spread northeastwards across the UK during Friday heralding a change to a more unsettled spell of weather for the last few days of April and early May. During this time many areas will be affected by bouts of unsettled weather with showers and rain. Some heavy showers are possible, and during the last few days of April some of the showers may also be wintry over hills. In spite of the rain and showers there should be some brighter periods too. Conditions are also likely to turn cooler than of late during late April, more especially in the north, and this change may happen as early as next weekend. Windy at times too, especially in the north.

UK Outlook for Monday 4 May 2015 to Monday 18 May 2015:

Unsettled conditions becoming established during late April are likely to persist into early May. Beyond this, there are no strong signals regarding likely weather types for the first half of May. As such, the most likely scenario is for weather conditions during this period to be fairly typical for the time of year with spells of fine and bright weather interspersed with occasional bouts of more unsettled and changeable conditions. Daytime temperatures are likely to be above average when conditions are fine and near or a little below average during unsettled weather. As is common for the time of year, spells of settled weather may be accompanied by chilly evenings with isolated overnight frost in rural areas.

UK Outlook for Wednesday 29 Apr 2015 to Friday 8 May 2015:

It looks likely to be unsettled and rather cold as we move from April into May, becoming winder than of late. There will be a period of wet, windy and cold weather early in the period. Otherwise sunny spells and some showers are expected, these are likley to turn heavy at times with a risk of hail and thunder, and also snow on northern hills. Although drier interludes are likely towards the end of the period, the changeable conditions are likely to continue, but it will probably become less cold, with rain likely becoming focussed towards western and central parts, with the best chance of some drier and brighter conditions in the south and east.

UK Outlook for Saturday 9 May 2015 to Saturday 23 May 2015:

Changeable and at times unsettled conditions are more likely to persist for the first half of May, though it may turn drier mid-month. Central and western areas are likely to see the most of any rainfall, while southern and eastern districts and the far north have the best of any drier weather. However, there are no strong signals, with weather conditions likely to be fairly typical for the time of year with spells of fine and bright weather interspersed with more changeable conditions. Daytime temperatures likely to be above average when conditions are fine and near or a little below during unsettled spells. As is common for the time of year, spells of settled weather are likely to be accompanied by chilly evenings with isolated overnight frost in rural areas.

UK Outlook for Friday 1 May 2015 to Sunday 10 May 2015:

Friday 1st May is likely to be mainly settled, but cool. Most places should remain dry with some sunny spells, though a few showers are possible, mainly in the north and east. Similar conditions will probably prevail over north and eastern parts through Saturday, but it will turn more unsettled again in the south and west with thicker cloud and some outbreaks of rain developing. These will probably move NE to affect all parts by Bank Holiday Monday. The rest of the period is expected to remain unsettled, with the wettest and windiest conditions being in the north and west, and the best of the drier and brighter spells in the southeast. Temperatures through the period are likely to be below average with local night frosts, especially in the north.
